Tom & Denny, I really enjoyed the GG Classic that you did up in the U.P. that was aired this week. 1996 was around this time I started watching Northern Experience, and I have been watching ever since. I hope to see more classics, but it would be fun to hear the N.E. theme song at the beginning when you air those classics. Cheers!

Germfask to the Highwater truck trail (Cookson Bridge) is one of our favorite canoe trips. All day get an early start. Stay covered or you will get a sun burn.

Parents have taken me & my brother to Cedarville about 35-miles southeast of Sault Ste Marie. In the early 70s we took a tour on a boat & we went into the locks, where it shifted water & lowered in the locks, then it would refill with water to go through the locks. AWESOME, ESPECIALLY WAY BACK THEN. I WAS 10 & REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. THANKS GREAT GETAWAYS FOR BRINGING BACK SOME AWSOME MEMORIES.

It was one of many "working towns" that Ford had constructed. There is also the small village and saws that Ford had built just 7 miles West of L’Anse. And then again just off of second sand beach, past L’Anse where he had a factory, smoke chimney about 200’ tall (I’m estimating and it still stands) and boarding houses just outside of L’Anse called Aura!
