We enjoyed it much! We recently purchased a place in Prudenville, and discovered things in this show we didn't know about. Especially all the ATV trails.

This show was great! All of your episodes are great! I've lived here in Michigan for 11 years and I'm always learning about places that I never knew existed, because of your show.  Thanks so much for all the information.  I look forward to exploring more of this beautiful state.

One of my favorite areas is Roscommon, I’m so glad you featured it. I learned many things about the area that I did not know.

I enjoyed it, and I especially enjoyed the kayaking adventures. The Bruce Peninsula has always intrigued me. I would like to visit to compare it to my Leelanau County.

This week we watched the program on the Bruce Peninsula lighthouses. Last summer, we traveled through Ontario and planned a visit to the waterfalls in Owen Sound County. It was highlighted in a program two weeks before we left. We sent for their brochure and managed to visit all of them and even enjoyed Chapman Ice Cream along the way. We did go out to Cabot Head (5 mi), and stopped at Lion Head and Southampton Hikers Trail. We walked the trails and rocky shoreline in the National Park.

So in October, in between rain events we hiked the Corsair and Highbanks trails out of Tawas. We also enjoyed great meals and sunrises at the former Holiday Inn located on the bay. Yes, we saw that program on the trails before, and took your suggestion as it inspired us to do our monthly trips in the State. Your programs are seen in Canada as well as Michigan. So keep promoting these trip activities. Where to next?

A great show this weekend and my wife and I always enjoy seeing footage of the Seney Wildlife Refuge. Please continue your great filming and interesting monologue. Thanks again for a great show.

I love ALL the shows and planning road trips using the information you provide. Thanks for the great arm-chair traveling and the inspiration to get out and see more of our beautiful area.

Tom VanDyken - Hudsonville, MI

Hey guys, that was a really great show! We spent a couple of days in one of the rustic cabins at the Rifle River area this fall and loved it. It’s great to see it in the winter time. We also love to snowmobile, which brings me to a suggestion to you for another great show. On January 31 this winter there will be a vintage show and ride from the Ogemaw Hills clubhouse. It usually brings out several hundred restored and historic snowmobiles. It would be a great show!

I enjoyed it (Tour the Thumb) very much. I have wanted to take my mother on a lighthouse tour from Port Huron around the tip of the Thumb to Saginaw. This show gave me an idea of how much time to allow.

Robert Kieliszewski - Harbor Springs, MI

I watch your show most weekends, especially when in Michigan.  My wife and I spend a lot of time in the U.P. camping and visiting. We make day trips to Grand Marais, Sault Sainte Marie and etc. We would like to show shoe some of that area between Manistique and Munising.

Some of best snowmobile trails in the country are in the Upper Peninsula. I have a few great ideas on where to go off the beaten path. Thanks so much and Happy Holidays.

It (Upper Peninsula Winter Getaway) brought back a lot of memories. I don't believe I appreciated just how beautiful it all is, and of what Michigan has to offer. You have many excellent shows; I hope to see them all. Thank you!

Mary Woessner - Omena, MI

This show (Upper Peninsula Winter Getaway) was wonderful in every aspect!  I'm hoping to receive the DVD so I can send it to friends. They grew up in the area, but have moved away to another state. It should be a trip back in time for them. Thanks so much, love your shows!

I love the U.P. and totally enjoyed the winter adventure. New information for me was the Ford history of Big Bay. I had the privilege of living in Keweenaw Peninsula for two years. My heart aches to return. Overall, amazing copper mining history and wonderful people. Thanks again for a moment of time in my heart revisited.

I really enjoyed this episode (Upper Peninsula Winter Getaway). I did some snowmobiling around Brimley some years ago and have taken the Snow Train several times in the past. After watching this episode I am thinking it's time to do it again. This time take the grand-kids and show them what it's like. Keep up the good work; you've become a part of my Saturday morning routine.

June Seitz - Westland, MI

I enjoyed a two-week camping trip in the U.P. at the end of September 2014.  Seeing the same area now covered with ice and snow was spectacular. The frozen waterfalls and ice walls were awesome. I have never seen a "getaway" show that was not thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful choice on TV.

Bill Caroffino - Midland, MI

Fabulous show! It brought back some great memories. I have been a long time viewer and have had a cabin on Brevoort Lake for over 30 years, so most of the program was literally in my back yard. It is hard to beat the U.P. no matter what the season is. This program was excellent! Keep up the great work.

Patty Taylor - Flint, MI

I really enjoyed the episode (Upper Peninsula Winter Getaway).  My grandfather was born in Bruce Crossing and his cabin is still there. I have been to every waterfall in Michigan at least once, and I really love Michigan in every season. I enjoy learning about the history of Michigan. I want to thank you for a wonderful show. Thanks again for all the neat information about Michigan.

We thoroughly enjoyed this episode in particular, because we've done a lot of traveling in the Upper Peninsula. Always in the summer and fall though. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to see and enjoy many of the places we've visited, from a totally different perspective. Thank you for bringing us such enjoyable and informative shows about our beautiful state!

The photography was wonderful! We love the U.P.! We just visited Picture Rock in August and my wife had not been there since the 1960's. Wow! What changes in that time! We both love to take pictures and there is so much to see in Michigan. We are so happy we discovered your show, because as a retired couple your show helps to set our next adventure in our wonderful state of Michigan. Thank you very much!

I'm always impressed with the great beauty of our state. The stories on your show highlight all that Michigan has to offer. Thanks, I enjoy watching and learning!

My family spent several weeks up in the Upper Peninsula this summer. It was fascinating to see the places I'd seen so recently in the summe,r as they are in the winter. I had no idea there was a ski jumping competition in the U.P., or that you could still go to see the falls in the winter. I'm now seriously thinking about taking a winter trip up to the Upper Peninsula. Thanks!

Dennis Huffman - Wayland, MI

This was the first time I have seen the show. My family spends a lot of time traveling the Upper Peninsula during the summer/fall months. I did not realize it had so much to offer in the winter months, outside of snowmobiling. I will be making a trip with my family sometime this winter. Thank you for the eye opener.
Tue 12/30/2014 8:08 PM

I enjoyed the places you traveled and the history you covered. After seeing this segment, I'm looking forward to a winter get away to the Upper Peninsula!
Tue 12/30/2014 8:11 PM

I truly enjoyed the adventure you shared, with the snow mobiles and the slide ride. The Upper Peninsula is so beautiful when the falls freeze. Thank you for sharing an area I would have never been able to explore.

I just saw it (Upper Peninsula Getaway in Time) on CMU Public TV, on 12/30/14 at 7:30. It made me want to get a snowmobile and ride!!

This week’s show was awesome. I have been to the Upper Peninsula many times during the summer, fall, and spring. However, I have only been there a couple times in the winter. This week’s show has given me some great ideas of what to do, so that I am not stuck in the hotel watching TV.

This was very interesting, as I am a snowmobiler and my wife is a historian. We started planning a vacation in the Upper Peninsula right away after we saw the video. Your photographers do a beautiful job of showcasing Michigan.

What great show! I learned a lot of great places to go in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!
Tue 12/30/2014 9:17 PM
Carl Kern - Lapeer, MI

I remember the show of the Upper Peninsula in the summer was beautiful, but this winter episode was better. I really appreciate your film crew braving the winter's brutal cold, so the viewers can enjoy the splendor of nature in Michigan's Upper Peninsula during the quieter season. The ice formations along the Pictured Rocks is stunning. Good camera angles to show the different color hues in the ice. Brings back memories of the December 2013 ice storm here in Lapeer County; destructive, but yet nature covered in absolute beauty with sparkles of ice. Thanks for an excellent program.

Teresa Shannon - Bay City, MI

What a wonderful show as a first time viewer of your program! I just recently moved back to Michigan and I’m spending time getting reacquainted to our beautiful state. My summer vacation was spent in the Upper Peninsula, so it was interesting seeing the winter perspective of all the places I went to this summer! Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls were quite a sight to see with the water falls frozen.  This inspired me to want to take a winter trip up north, as I love skiing and snow shoeing. I especially liked the historical part of the show with the segment regarding Henry Ford and his love of the Upper Peninsula as well.

I was surfing and I'll admit - I am guilty. I came across the show and it ‘FROZE’ my arm with the remote. Thanks for saving my batteries. I really enjoyed it, but I did miss the first half. I was very happy to hear at the end that you offered a copy of the show. Thank you! Video well done folks!

It was absolutely amazing. I've been to the Upper Peninsula a few times in summer, but now realize that I have to go in the winter time now! Gorgeous!

Loved this week’s show - as do we all of your shows. Wish there were more shows like this. We get many ideas of where to visit as we are travelling around Michigan.

We have only been in the Upper Peninsula for summer. Your show, how it highlights and explains the Upper Peninsula sites during winter has enticed us to try to get to there in the winter.

Maureen Bieber - Yale, MI

I loved the wild beauty of the frozen Pictured Rocks. Have been there and to Tahquamenon Falls many times. We always look forward to your programs. I am ill quite a bit of the time, so watching your program always brings me smiles.
